Enriched Program

At FSCC our enrichment programs succeed when our children, educators and parents, and the community are actively involved.

Our successful enrichment programs are due to our:

  • Committed instructors

At FSCC, our qualified enrichment program educators and extra-curricular instructors are experts.

Our RECE educators, music teacher, and yoga instructors facilitate age- and developmentally-appropriate programming and environment set-up. They are qualified to work with young children and have child development expertise to design age-appropriate lessons and activities.

  • Well-structured programs

Our enrichment programs are structured to accommodate all children, regardless of their age, abilities, or background.

Each program is considered for optimal duration and class size, different mastery levels (child development “schemas”), and can support individualized instruction and activities for beginners versus children with more experience.

  • Variety of learning experiences (activities, materials, and environmental set-up)

We offer enrichment classes that appeal to children with different interests and skill sets that may not be part of their everyday classroom experience, but still support their development. This includes dance, woodworking, learning to play an instrument, gardening, and more.

  • Activities where a child can explore a topic or skills in depth

Our enrichment programs are offered as classes that allow children to explore and learn a subject matter in depth, thus aligning with the Reggio Emilia philosophy of supporting meaningful learning everyday.
